TGC Industries Announces Plans to Purchase Additional Seismic Recording Channels

PLANO, Texas, March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TGC Industries, Inc. (Amex: TGE - News) today announced that it will purchase an additional 4,000 channels of ARAM ARIES seismic recording equipment to be delivered in April 2007. Driven by customer demand, these additional recording channels will be used to increase the capacity of the Company's eight seismic crews currently operating in the field, bringing the available recording channels to a total of 36,000.
