When the delinquent taxes are removed, the current tax balance will become the new owner's bill. At this point in time, the homestead exemption period ends and a discount period begins. At this point, the new owner will pay the same amount as the previous owner in order to become exempt from paying any tax. The new owner will not be able to increase their exemption amount until after the discount period ends. In addition, at this point, the new tax deed will be issued.

 

Once the property appraisal has been completed and the final assessment of the property has been made, the property owner can apply for a property tax deed. The county property appraiser will issue the property tax deed, which is recorded in the Seminole county register. This ensures that the property taxes will be paid each year.
